J.I.D broke into the scene with his 2015 EP, DiCaprio.
His major-label debut, The Never Story (2017) was widely praised.
He released the critically acclaimed DiCaprio 2 (2018) which earned him a spot in XXL's Freshmen class.
His collaborative work on Dreamville's compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III (2019) garnered Grammy nominations.
He collaborated with Imagine Dragons on "Enemy" for the Netflix Arcane soundtrack, which has amassed nearly two billion streams.
His third album, The Forever Story (2022) was lauded for its blend of trap and R&B and honest lyrics.
His latest album, God Does Like Ugly (2025) explores themes of personal challenges and spirituality.
These announcements come after JID expressed some disappointment with the reception of his previous album, The Forever Story, and is now embracing a new, "ugly" creative direction. He seems poised to continue his impressive trajectory in the hip-hop scene.
