The album's catchy indie-rock songs and Justin Young's stage presence helped The Vaccines become a major act in the British indie scene. DIY Magazine calls the album a testament to the band's lasting success.
The Vaccines' current lineup includes Justin Hayward-Young on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Árni Árnason on bass and backing vocals, Timothy Lanham on keyboards, percussion, and backing vocals (joining in 2017), and Yoann Intonti on drums and percussion (joining in 2017). Former members include Pete Robertson and Freddie Cowan.
Their music style is described as energetic indie rock with catchy melodies, influenced by punk and garage rock.
The band has released six studio albums, many reaching the top 5 in the UK charts, including their debut "What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?" and their latest, "Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations" (2024). Their discography also includes live albums and singles.
